Prior to dentistry, Dr. Grosskopf worked in the Hemodialysis Unit and Intensive Care Unit as a Registered and Licensed Dietitian at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX. Dr. Grosskopf provides general and surgical services to a myriad of patients but focuses on providing a positive and calming experience for the fearful dental patient with the use of oral and I.V. sedation. After graduating from Episcopal High School in Houston, TX, Dr. Grosskopf pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin. She achieved her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio May 2007. Following completion of dental school Dr. Grosskopf completed a two-year General Practice Residency at the Medical College of Georgia. This residency focused on dental surgery, implant placement, IV sedation, and providing dental care to medically complex patients. She went on to complete an additional two-year residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Oral Medicine, where she provided dental care in a hospital setting and she focused on the diagnosis and treatment of oral lesions (lichen planus, pemphigus, pemphigoid, aphthous ulcers, and herpetic lesions) and facial pain (TMD/TMJ, trigeminal neuralgia, atypical facial pain, burning mouth syndrome). Dr. Grosskopf is well versed in the treatment and management of patients preparing and undergoing treatment for cancer of the head and neck. Dr. Grosskopf was born and raised in Houston. Her entire family is from the Austin area. She is currently raising a young man with lots of kind support from her loved ones. In 2011, she left Alaska to teach at TX A&M University College of Dentistry (the former Baylor College of Dentistry). While there, she served as the Clinic Director for the graduate Orthodontic Department and attained the rank of Clinical Associate Professor.
